Biography: Abdul Karim leads local law firm Abdul Karim al-Fauri & Associates. Before establishing the practice more than five years ago, Karim spent 12 years as principal advocate and head of dispute resolution at UK law firm Trowers & Hamlins’ office in Oman. His experience includes company, maritime, construction and commercial law, financial securities and arbitration, advising in particular on oil, gas and power projects.

The firm has a particular strength in the energy sector but also has a broad corporate practice. It has a close relationship with the Jordanian government, having assisted with the drafting of the country’s Petroleum Law.

Karim forged an association with Trowers & Hamlins, which has a significant Middle East presence, in 2007. Notable clients include US media company Bloomberg and credit card company Visa.
