Abdullah Alsogheyer

Biography: Abdullah Alsogheyer is the director of IT at Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden). He is responsible for the mining company’s IT strategy and the integration of its corporate and affiliates’ global IT systems.

After graduating from the King Saud University in 1990, Alsogheyer began his career at Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Sama), the kingdom’s central bank and became the leader of the stock market software development team.

After leaving Sama in 1995, he worked as an IT consultant for five years with US defence firm Thomson CSF. Before joining Maaden in 2005, Alsogheyer was the IT manager for Saudi Arabia’s National Agricultural Development Company from 2003. He is currently working on rolling out enterprise resource planning software for Maaden Aluminium Companies and Maaden Industrial Minerals Company.
