Biography: Al-Wuhaib took up his current role in October 2012. He joined Aramco in 1976 and has worked in various capacities over the past 37 years. His first management position came in 1993, when he was appointed chief engineer of engineering services, before being promoted to vice-president of project management in 1996.

Between 1998 and 2000, he was vice-president of Ras Tanura refinery, Saudi Arabia’s largest downstream facility, before being appointed vice-president of engineering services. Al-Wuhaib held this role until 2006, when he was appointed vice-president of information technology.

In 2007, he took over as vice-president for operations services. He has a degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California in the US.
