Abu Dhabi achieves 16 per cent rise in hotel guests

October 2010 was one of the emirate’s best performing months with an 18 per cent year-on-year increase

The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has said the number of guests staying in the 118 hotels and hotel apartments throughout the emirate in the first 10 months of this year rose 16 per cent to 1,477,978, compared to the same period in 2009, Wam has reported. From January to the end of October, Abu Dhabi also recorded a 15 per cent year-on-year increase in guest nights which rose to 4,096,140. October was one of the emirate’s best performing months with an 18 per cent year-on-year increase in guest numbers, which came in at 151,335 and a 4 per cent rise in their average length of stay to 3.3 nights.
