Al-Ghayathi development will have 786 villas for UAE nationals

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has awarded the local National Transport & Construction an estimated AED500m ($136m) contract to build 353 residential units at its Al-Ghayathi housing project in the Western Region.

MEED reported in late July that the local Dhabi Contracting won an estimated AED625m contract for construction work on 433 villas at the development.

The 20-month construction period involves the building a total of 786 two-story five-bedroom villas for UAE nationals in Ghayathi, which is about 25 kilometres south of Ruwais. The consultant is the UK’s Atkins.

Abu Dhabi says it plans to build projects worth $66bn in the Western Region, also known as Al-Gharbia by 2030, as part of its regional structure framework plan.
