Abu Dhabi real estate developer Eagle Hills has launched a mixed-use real estate development in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Known as La Gare, it will cover an area of about 360,000 square metres close to the Addis Bole International airport, with a rail line running along its northern edge. The project involves the construction of more than 4,000 residences along with four and five-star hotels, retail outlets, and office buildings.
MEED reported in March 2015 that Eagle Hills was planning a major development in Addis Ababa. At the time, the development cost was expected to be $4bn.
