Contractors have until 8 April to express interest
Abu-Dhabi’s Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) has invited firms to prequalify for construction contracts to develop the east basin of the Al-Bateen wharf.
The work will involve dredging of the basin to allow access for yacht berthing, and reclamation work to provide a platform for future development work.
The contract will also involve piling work and the construction of a 380 metre concrete quay wall and provision of pontoon services.
TDIC will draw up a shortlist 10 qualifying companies who will be invited to bid for the construction contract.
Contractors who meet the criteria have until 8 April 2010 to register their interest and request a prequalification questionnaire.
TDIC is working in partnership with the UAE’s Belbadi Enterprises to redevelop the Al-Bateen district of Abu Dhabi. The redevelopment is planned to include a marina and a five-star hotel.
