Abu Dhabi plans 26,000 hotel rooms by 2012

Abu Dhabi plans to have more than 26,000 hotel rooms by 2012, more than double the current figure of 12,000, according to the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan said business tourism is a key focus of the emirate's tourism strategy and it is developing international convention expertise to ensure its success as a major global meetings destination.
