Abu Dhabi plans new court house

16 September 2008
Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has invited selected contractors to express interest in two contracts for a new court house complex in Abu Dhabi.

The project involves the construction of two buildings that will be tendered as separate packages.

The first is a court house and the second is a prison. The two buildings will be connected by an underground tunnel. The total built-up area is 105,587 square metres.

Tenders are expected to be issued in September for the prison, with tenders for the court house following in mid-January.

US-based Morganti Group is the project manager.
