Several contractors submitted bids in February for Ruwais project
Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takeer) is preparing to award a contract for the construction of a new sulphur recovery unit at its site in Ruwais, according to sources familiar with the project.
Commercial engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) bids were submitted by several international companies in the first quarter of 2017.
Companies that bid for the project are thought to include Spains Intecsa Industrial, Italy-based Tecnimont and Chinese group Wison Engineering.
Takreer is also preparing to award the much larger Processing Offshore Crude Project at Ruwais Refinery. Three contractors submitted revised bids for the scheme in December.
