Project involves the construction of 400m of quay wall
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has invited contractors to bid for the contract to expand the harbour at Das Island.
The closing date for technical bids is 29 January. Adnoc says it will tell bidders the closing date for commercial prices at a later date.
The project involves the complete design and construction of the port expansion, which includes dredging of the new port areas and the existing port, reclamation and earthmoving work, rock protection works, and the construction of a 200m-long quay wall.
Das Island serves as the export terminal for oil produced from Abu Dhabi’s offshore fields, as well as for liquified natural gas (MEED 29:12:09).
