Al-Ain airport tender covers design consultancy services
Abu Dhabi Airports Company is inviting consultants to bid for the design consultancy services contract for the upgrade of Al-Ain International airport.
The contract covers the renovation of the passenger terminal, including the building facade, check-in hall, out-bound immigrations area, customs inspection and baggage claim area.
Potential bidders have until 3 September to collect the request for proposal documents and all bids must be submitted by 30 September.
Al-Ain airport is Abu Dhabis second airport, 18 kilometres outside Al-Ain city.
It was originally built to serve 1,000 passengers a peak hour. It has one terminal with 10 check-in desks and a 4,000-metre runway.
To meet growing demand, the airport is set to be expanded with the departure lounge and check-in areas to be increased in size and a new cargo terminal to be built.
