Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has reported a 22.9% jump in passenger traffic in August compared to the same period in 2007. A total of 869,868 passengers used the airport over the month, compared to 707,671 last year. Year-to-date figures have reached 5,962,175 - up 34.3% on 2007. The majority of the increase is due to an influx of passenger traffic from other Gulf countries, India, the Philippines and the UK.
