Abu Dhabi received over 1.5 million hotel guests in 2008, a rise of 4% on 2007. Shaikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, said the 4% rise equated to 4.7 million guest nights and Dhs4.3bn in hotel revenues.
