UK takeover to expand electrical services to Middle East oil and gas, marine and industrial sectors
The UK’s Dron & Dickson has acquired Abu Dhabi-based electrical and instrumentation contractor and project services group Totus Energy for an undisclosed sum.
Dron & Dickson, which specialises in the design, supply and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment, has recently expanded into the Middle East market with a new office in Dubai.
The acquisition will expand the company’s services to the oil and gas, marine and industrial sectors in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the surrounding areas, says Dron & Dickson.
The UK company reported a turnover of £27.6m ($44.3m) in 2011 and employs 250 people, including 20 in the Middle East.
