Companies are due to respond by 14 September to an inquiry for a contract to build a new office complex for Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco).
Called the Adco compound development phases 4 and 5, the project will be tendered in two packages. Package 1 will cover the construction of a 24-storey new office tower, a mosque, services building, a multi-storey car park, roads, landscaping and related works. It is expected to be issued for bid by the end of October.
Package 2 will cover the construction of recreational facilities including a restaurant, kitchen, swimming pools, an indoor sports hall, tennis and squash courts, a medical clinic, a car park and related works. The package is due to be issued for bid in late December.
Both packages are estimated to be worth at least $30 million and will take 14-16 months to complete. The compound will be located at the existing Adco headquarters complex on the Abu Dhabi corniche. The consultant is the local Engineering Consultants Group.
