Adma-Opco awards major offshore contract

14 January 2008

Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) is frontrunner for an estimated $200m contract to install two offshore wellhead towers for Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco).

Under the terms of the directly negotiated contract, NPCC will design, fabricate and install the two gas towers and 20 kilometres of infield pipelines, pressure vessels, choke control and shutdown valves.

The scheme is part of the multi-billion-dollar integrated gas development to increase Abu Dhabi’s offshore gas production capacity by 700 million cubic feet a day.
