The onshore division of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc Onshore) has awarded UK-based energy engineering firm Wood Group three new, call-off contracts totaling $53m to award project management consultancy (PMC) services.
In a statement, Wood said it would provide PMC for Adnoc Onshore’s major projects across Abu Dhabi, ‘aimed at supporting Adnoc’s group-wide production capacity target of 4 million barrels of oil per day by 2020’.
The three contracts are valid for five years, and have one-year extension options available.
Wood said the scope of work allows creation of around 100 new jobs in the country.
The contract will be executed from Wood’s offices in Abu Dhabi, with support from the company’s offices worldwide.
