Agility wins logistics contract for EU forces

A subsidiary of Kuwait’s Agility Logistics has won a contract worth up to $174m to feed EU troops stationed in the central African nation of Chad.

The award to GCC Services follows two recent contract wins by Agility to provide services to US troops in the Gulf (MEED 12:6:08).

GCC Services will take on two dining facility contracts for an initial nine-month period, with optional three-month extensions for up to three years. The value of the contract over this full period could amount to $174m.

The company will build facilities in Abeche and N'Djamena, serving 2,600 EU personnel, most of them French.
