Agility wins more Iraq logistics work

24 March 2008

Kuwait-based Agility, formerly known as PWC Logistics, said on 24 March that it, along with four other contractors, had won a contract, worth up to $450m, to provide transportation services to the US military.

In a statement to the Kuwait Stock Exchange, Agility said that the contract was for one year, with an option for a further two years.

The work covers the delivery of supplies and equipment to US forces in Iraq, Jordan and Turkey, according to the statement.

The contract is the latest of several supply deals awarded to Agility by the Pentagon. In 2005, it won one of the largest contracts ever awarded in the region, worth up to $14bn, to provide food to the US army in Iraq (MEED 10:6:08).
