RasGas deal covers forwarding, transportation and custom clearance services
Qatar’s Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company (RasGas) has awarded a four-year logistics contract to Kuwaiti company Agility.
The RasGas contract covers forwarding, transportation and custom clearance services.
In August, RasGas started producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Train Six, boosting the company’s overall output to 28.5 million tonnes a year (t/y) (MEED 13:8:09).
The 7.8 million-t/y Train Six was originally due to come on line in January 2009, at the same time as the start of production at Train Seven.
RasGas has yet to set a date for the commissioning of Train Seven.
The company is a joint venture of state-run Qatar Petroleum (QP), with a 70 per cent stake, and the US’ ExxonMobil Corporation, holding 30 per cent.
