Air Arabia net profit up 6%

UAE-based low-cost carrier, Air Arabia has said that its net profit for the first nine months of 2009 grew by 6% to Dhs337m, compared to Dhs318m for the same period in 2008. The airline has served 2.96 million passengers during the period, an increase of 14% compared to 2.6 million passengers during the corresponding period last year. However, net profit for the three months ending September 30, 2009, had declined by 9% to Dhs144m, compared to Dhs158m for the same period in 2008.
