Airlines to see 'more consolidation'

The UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways' CEO James Hogan has said that the industry is likely to see more consolidation because of a slow down in air travel and recessionary forces. Hogan told the Australian Broadcasting Corp that more Air France-KLM Group style mergers where likely, and that Etihad was looking to work more closely with Qantas. Industry losses could total $4.7bn in 2009.
