Al-Ahmadiah joins five other Dubai-based contractors on the JBR development. They are:
Arab Technical Construction Company (Arabtec), which is carrying out sectors 1 and 3 (MEED 16:4:04);
Saleh Construction, sector 2
Al-Habtoor Engineering Enterprises, sector 4 (MEED 21:5:04);
Al-Shafar General Contracting Company, sector 6 (MEED 27:2:04);
Dubai Civil Engineering, sector 7.
In total, there will be about 40 high-rises on the JBR project, offering some 6,200 apartments. The architect on JBR is the UK office of Wimberley Allison Tong & Goo, while the project manager is the UK's Mace International. Dubai Technology, e-commerce & Media Free Zone Authority (Tecom) is the client.
