Al Barq Digital, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Co (ADMC), has signed an exclusive two-year agreement with Finland-based Whatamap to provide mobile wayfinding tools for consumers across the MENA region. The technology lets consumers download customized information, such as maps, guides, or special promotional offers, to almost any mobile phone, while visiting malls, exhibition centres and other leisure destinations and public venues. The company will begin introducing the new Whatamap solution this month in the Dubai Festival City mall, with plans to expand the service across the UAE and the region.
