Al-Dar submits low bids for Kuwait drainage work

The local Al-Dar Engineering & Construction Company has submitted the low bid for infrastructure work at three sites in Kuwait.

The firm submitted a bid of KD12.3m ($43m) for the design, construction, completion and maintenance of the main rain water drainage line for Jaber Al-Ahmed city, the Saad al-Abdullah neighbourhood and the Amghara industrial area.

Mushrif Trading & Contracting Company submitted the second lowest-bid of KD12.4m, Burhan International Construction Company bid KD14.4m and Combined Group Trading & Contracting Company bid KD17.9m.

Eighteen local contractors were prequalified to bid for the work, with a total of nine submitting bids. They included: Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons Company, United Gulf Construction Company and Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Company.

The Public Works Ministry is the client.
