Local contractor will work on Maryah island scheme
Local contractor Al-Faraa Group has been awarded the main construction contract on the Maryah Plaza project in Abu Dhabi.
The project is being developed by Farglory Middle East, which is the local affiliate of Taiwans Farglory.
The development has four towers. Three will be residential towers, and the fourth tallest tower will be an office and hotel building.
The first of three 29-floor-high towers is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
The architect is the UKs Richard Rogers.
In late August, Abu Dhabi developer Aldar Properties appointed a main contractor for its $120m mid-market Shams Meera residential scheme on Reem Island.
The $70m contract, which was awarded to the local Fibrex, will see the firm work on the construction of 400 apartments and all associated works.
