Saudi Arabian mining company aims to complete new plant by 2014
Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hamdi Group is planning to build a $1.4bn phosphoric acid plant in Jordan.
The scheme will have a capacity of 310,000 tonnes a year (t/y) when completed in 2014. If successful, the plant will eventually double its capacity to 620,000 t/y in the future.
The plant will provide 350 direct jobs when completed, as well as 350 indirect.
