Five companies priced the 13-month contract in early October. The consultant is the UK’s Halcrow Group. On-site work is scheduled to start in November. Ducab launched an expansion programme in April to increase its copper processing capacity to 60,000 tonnes a year (t/y) from 35,000 t/y.
The programme also includes the addition of 5,000 t/y of new capacity at Ducab’s existing Jebel Ali plant.
