Al-Hani bids low for Kuwait cultural complexes

Al-Hani’s combined bids for both tenders total more than $1.2bn

Kuwait’s Amiri Diwan has received bids for the construction of two new cultural complexes in the Al-Samiya area. The scope of work for the tenders calls for the design, construction and maintenance of the Jaber al-Ahmed and Abdulla al-Salem cultural complexes.

A total of six local companies were prequalified to bid for the tenders, which were opened on 3 November. Local Al-Hani Construction & Trading Company was the low bidder for each contract.

Following is the complete list of bidders for the contract to build the Abdullah Al-Salem centre:

  • Al-Hani Construction & Trading Company (local) ($409.4m)
  • Alghanim International General Trading & Contracting Company (local) ($416m)
  • Sayed Hameed Behbehani & Sons Company (local) ($417.2m)
  • Combined Group Contracting Company (local) ($455.5m)
  • Al-Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Company (local) ($469m)

These companies submitted bids for the contract to build the Jaber al-Ahmad centre:

  • Al-Hani Construction & Trading Company (local) ($835.3m)
  • Combined Group Contracting Company (local) ($971.8m)
  • Al-Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Company (local) ($1.02bn)
  • Alghanim International General Trading & Contracting Company (local) ($1.04bn)
  • Sayed Hameed Behbehani & Sons Company (local) ($1.1bn)
