Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has awarded the local Al-Hassan Engineering Company (AHEC) a contract for the phase III at the Zauliyah gas compression project.

The deal will see AHEC carry out the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the new facilities for the scheme. The exact value was not disclose but a statement described it as a “multi-million dollar” award.

AHEC are also working on two other gas projects in the sultanate at Kauther and Saih Nihayda. The contracts are being executed for Petrofac and GS Engineering & Construction respectively.
