Al-Kharafi bids low for Al-Tameer project

Three bids have been submitted for the Al-Tameer office building in Kuwait, all from local firms. The low bidder is Khalid Ali al-Kharafi & Brothers Company with a bid of KD41.5m ($157m).

Alamiah Building Company is the second lowest with KD42.9m. Al-Sager General Trading & Contracting is third with a price of KD43.4m.

The project scope covers the construction of a three-floor building with 48,000 square metres of floor area. It will include a 120-seat auditorium and a 150-seat banqueting hall.

In addition, there are two floor levels of basement car parking and a six-level multi-floor car park. The contract also covers mechanical and electrical installations, fire protection systems and two electric sub-stations.

External works includes site roads, roundabouts and pavements, a road connection from the highway to the main site and landscaping.

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is the client.
