Al-Kharafi bids low for Kuwait drainage network

The local Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Kharafi & Sons is the low bidder for the phase 10 renovation of the drainage network in the Bayan area of Kuwait.

The company submitted an offer of KD17.1m ($64.9m). The second lowest bidder was United Gulf Construction Company with a price of KD18.7m.

Bids were also submitted by Al-Dar Engineering & Construction Company, Kuwait Arab Contractors Company and Ahmadia Contracting & Trading Company, all local (MEED 25:3:08).

The client is the Ministry of Public Works.

The ministry has also received bids for a second sewage network renovation project. The low bidder for the phase 10 renovation of the drainage network in the Jabiriyah area was the Green Line General Trading & Contracting Company with a price of KD31.5m.
