Al-Mazrouei to chair Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority (Adwea)

Ex-Health Authority figure to replace Sheik Diab bin Zayed al-Nahyan

Dr Ahmed Mubarak al-Mazrouei has been declared chairman of state utility Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (Adwea).

In a decree issued by UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Al-Mazrouei has been named successor to previous chairman Sheik Diab bin Zayed al-Nahyan as the head of Adwea. Al-Mazrouei’s joined Adwea on 13 December. 

Al-Mazrouei will also serve as Deputy Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council. Al Mazrouei was until recently chairman of the emirate’s Health Authority. According to sources at Adwea, he has ceased his role at the Health Authority to take up his new position at Adwea.
