Al-Nahar takes pipeline contract

Kuwait’s Central Tenders Committee has approved a bid from the local Al-Nahar Industrial Trading & Contracting Company for the engineering, priocurement and construction contract to build a water pipeline in the country.

Al-Nahar was the low bidder for the contract in September at a price of KD 8.4 million ($29 million). The client is the Ministry of Energy (Electricity & Water).

The pipeline, which will connect the Suaiba North desalination plant to the Mina Abdullah water distribution complex, will have a diametre of 1.2 metres (MEED 14:9:07).
