Al-Raha Gardens get ready to blossom

Abu Dhabi-based ALDAR Propertieshas invited six local companies to submit a final set of prices by mid-August for the residential package on the Al-Raha Gardens development in the emirate. The first set of prices were submitted in late July (MEED 1:7:05).
Abu Dhabi-based ALDAR Propertieshas invited six local companies to submit a final set of prices by mid-August for the residential package on the Al-Raha Gardens development in the emirate. The first set of prices were submitted in late July (MEED 1:7:05).

The companies invited to bid are Al-Faraa General Contracting Company, Al-Hamed Development & Construction, Al-Jaber Energy Services, Arabtec Construction, Civil Engineering & Contracting Company (Civilco) and Target Engineering Construction Company. The 12-month contract will comprise two residential lots and involve the construction of two gated residential compounds, offering a total of 280 villas and townhouses, besides associated roads and related infrastructure services.

The estimated AED 1,000 million ($272 million) project is being carried out in at least five packages. Six local companies have been prequalified to bid for the infrastructure works package. They are Admak General Contracting Company,Al-Hamed,Al-Jaber, Al-Meraikhi General Contracting Company, Saif Bin Darwishand Saudi Oger Emirates. A tender is due to be issued on completion of the infrastructure design work, which is being carried out by the UK's Maunsell.
