31 March 2006

Five companies have submitted bids for the main construction package on an estimated AED 350 million ($95 million) new tower project planned on Sheikh Zayed highway by the local Al-Tayer Real Estate. The developer is also tendering a smaller residential tower at Al-Barsha, also in Dubai.

Located next to the Burj Dubai development, the 55-storey residential tower will have a built-up area of 61,000 square-metres and a 16,000-square-metre parking structure at the rear. The local APCC is working on the enabling works package. Lebanon's Khatib & Alami is the consultant.

Bids are due on 9 April for the main construction package on an estimated AED 150 million ($40 million) seven-storey residential tower in Al-Barsha near to Mall of the Emirates. The UK's Fraser Nag & Partnership is the consultant.
