Alcatel will install broadband to Al-Ghubrah and Al-Khadra regions
Paris-based Alcatel on 7 September signed a contract with Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) to install broadband access to Omantel’s networks in the Al-Ghubra and Al-Khadra regions.
By installing its Litespan NG DLC (next-generation digital loop carrier) multimedia access system, Alcatel will enable users in the two regions to send voice, data and internet messages through the Omantel network.
Under the contract Alcatel will provide more than 45,000 multimedia connections by early 2004.
