Algeria’s National Highways Agency (ANA) is tendering preliminary studies and design for the planned 260-kilometre motorway to link Blida, located southwest of the capital Algiers, and M’Sila, also in northern Algeria.

The tender for the project’s engineering consultancy services was announced early this month and is expected to close by the end of September.

The study and design timeline is expected to last 24 months, and the tender is open to both domestic and international engineering consultancies.

To be eligible for the  project, the bidding company must have at least 10 years‘ worth of experience in undertaking preliminary, preparatory and detailed studies in the field of highway or expressway projects, and agree to the terms of the ANA’s engineering office. Consortiums or partnerships are limited to two companies, both of which must meet the stated eligibility criteria.
