Almeer bids low for tank upgrade work

03 December 2007
The local Almeer Technical Services Company (Atsco) is low bidder at KD3.3m ($11.8m) for a contract to upgrade and modify tank injection pumps and the drainage system at the Minagish water injection plant in west Kuwait.

Atsco’s bid is marginally lower than the next-best offer of KD3.7m ($13.2m) submitted by Kuwait Controls Company. Eight other local contractors priced the work.

The client, state upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), is expected to award the lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction contract soon.
