No immediate plans for $120m Abu Dhabi aluminium mill
Aluminium company Alutec’s plans to build a $120m rolling mill in Abu Dhabi are still on hold and the company has no immediate plans to resurrect the project a source tells MEED.
The rolling mill, that was to produce foil and sheet aluminium, was put on hold by Alutec in 2009 and was expected to be revived in the first half of 2010.
“The mill is still on hold,” a source says. “Alutec is hoping that [the project] will be back on for this year, but there are no immediate plans.”
Alutec is based in Doha and specialises in architectural aluminium and glazing products.
