AMD and Intel settle antitrust and IP disputes

Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) have announced an agreement to settle all legal disputes between the companies, including antitrust litigation and patent cross license disputes, the companies said in a joint statement. Under the agreemet, Intel will pay AMD $1.25bn, and both companies will give up any claims of breach from previous license agreement. AMD will drop all pending litigation, the statement added.
