Advanced Micro Devices has said it is increasing its workforce in the region by 50% as it expects 'wonderful' growth in 2009 despite the recession and a sales slump in the PC sector, Emirates Business has reported. The supplier of microprocessors is bolstering its sales and marketing plans in the Middle East and is looking at a significantly larger market share by the end of this year, according to Dr. Gaith Kadir, AMD's General Manager for Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
