Arab companies to get Arabic internet domains

05 August 2009

Arab companies will now be able to have internet domain names in their own language, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (Icann) has said. Icann's new Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) program allows for the introduction of internet address names formed from non-Latin based languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian.
