The agreement came after a week of negotiations that also involved officials from the Ministry of Labour, the UAE Contractors Association, the Dubai Police Headquarters and the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in the Emirate of Dubai.
It is understood that the labourers were demanding higher wages due to the declining value of the UAE dirham against the Indian rupee and other currencies.
