Arabtec to build drains and sewers in northern Dubai

The local Arabtec Engineering Services has been awarded a AED55m ($15m) contract to construct sewerage and drainage networks in Dubai.

The project, located in Al-Nahda and Al-Mamzar close to the Sharjah border, involves the installation of pipes varying in diameter from 200-500mm with a total length of about 16.8 kilometres.

It also includes a stormwater drainage network ranging from 250-600mm in diameter with an approximate length of 15.5 kilometres.

Dubai Municipality is the client.
