Abu Dhabi’s Modon Properties has awarded Arabtec Construction the contract to build its Show Village at Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi.
The Show Village, located in Khalifa City, consists of of nine show villas designed for emirati families. The construction work is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of this year.
Modon Properties is developing Riyadh City, which was formerly known as the South Shamkha and North Wathba. It will made up of low density residential neighbourhoods that cover a total area of about 8 thousand hectares, which is equivalent to 85 per cent of the land area of Abu Dhabi Island.
It is located 30 kilometres from Abu Dhabi and when completed is expected to house 200,000 people.
Arabtec has a strong track record of building villas in across the UAE and has worked on largescale housing schemes in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah.
Last year it was awarded a AED628m ($171m) contract by the local Damac Properties for the construction of 1,296 villas at the Akoya Oxygen development.
