Local developer Damac Properties has awarded the local Arabtec Construction a AED299m ($82m) contract for the construction of villas in Dubai.
The 16-month contract involves the contractor building 478 villas at the Akoya Oxygen development.
Damac awarded Arabtec a AED628m contract for the construction of 1,296 villas and another contract valued at AED350m for the construction of roads and infrastructure at Akoya last year.
Damac also awarded Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Company (Efeco), which is part of Arabtec Holding, a AED424m ($116m) contract for mechanical, electrical and plumbing works at its Akoya Oxygen development in Dubai.
