The carrier will begin flights from 17 January with routes from Manama to Dubai, Mashhad, Beirut, and Alexandria.
The company will have initial authorised capital of BD10 million ($26.6m), but hopes to hold an initial public offering within a year of the launch to raise additional funds.
“We are working on legal and regulatory requirements for an initial public offering and this is definitely going to happen,” says Ibrahim al-Hamer, managing director of the carrier.
