The Electricity & Water Authority will be headed by a cabinet minister.

It will take over the responsibilities of the Electricity & Water Ministry.

The authority will have an administrative body, which will include a chairman and four members.

The administrative body will be responsible for setting up programmes and managing the authority's financial affairs.

The budget for this year’s Electricity & Water Ministry will be transferred to the new authority.
